About seven years ago, I was praying for a “big idea.” At age 59, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired!
One hot afternoon in June, I was going to do an appraisal out east–I was a Certified State Appraiser, SRA, and landlord–when my cell phone rang. It was Charlie Kalb! After the niceties, Charlie said, “Brig and I are putting together a network and we want you in.”
As God closed the mouths of the lions in the den, he opened mine and I found myself saying, “I’m in what do I do?”
He and Debbie signed us up and sent us some juice. Please understand, Judy and I had been in another network marketing company for several years and worked very hard but never made any money. So, we had promised each other that we would never do another network. When I came home and told Judy we joined a network, she asked, “What is it?”
I said “I don’t know!”
“What’s the product?”
“I don’t have a clue!” But when I told her that we were in business with Charlie and Debbie, she was fine. Their integrity put us in. Friends do what friends do.
On Jan 2, 2006, I told Judy that I was going to build the business. She replied “YOU build it if YOU want to. I am just going to drink it.”
My problem at the time was that I had just been elected Chairman of the Board of Deacons at the First Baptist Church of Bradenton. There was no way I would be allowed to contact people in my church without terrible criticism. So, I built the business outside my circle of friends. Right away, I found cracks of time to place a bottle, give out a brochure, or do something daily. Our church was in the middle of a 6.5 million dollar renovation program, we were teaching Sunday school, I chaired two committees, and I was still running a full-time appraisal and real estate business. Plus I owned several rentals which we managed. After three to four months, Judy was sitting at my computer one Friday afternoon when a screen popped up saying, ”E-Account.”
She opened my email and said, “Ooooh! Did you see how much money they put in our account? We need to set you some goals!”
From that day forward, we pulled together in unison. In the first part of February 2007, we achieved Blue Diamond and our lives will never be the same.
The financial pressure was totally gone and mommy was happy. Show your spouse the money and they will get on board. We were in a position to help our church, our pastor, our daughter, and many, many others. I bristled when Brig and Charlie talked about a million dollars. I remember stopping them and saying, “Just show me how to go Ruby.” I believed I could do that! Someone once said “when you go as far as you can see, you will be able to see a lot farther!” That is so true!
Enough about us! We have not only made money since January 2006, but the real news is the hundreds of people we have been able to help and change their health and financial situation. When people come up, with tears in their eyes, and thank us for the juice and tell us what it has done for them, it never fails to melt our hearts! The people we have led to the Lord as a result of this business is God inspired!
We were able to give our only daughter a Disney wedding, complete with she and I riding over to the wedding pavilion in Cinderella’s carriage with six white horses pulling us. It was a dream come true.
When we first heard Dallin speak, Judy and I saw his heart and knew that this was our business for life! We have a much bigger vision now and are more excited than ever!
Thank you, Charlie and Debbie, for thinking of us! We love you more than I can put into words! Brig and Lita, thank you for being sold out to the Lord. We will always stand with you. We love you! Dallin, thank you for being on the side of ours–and millions of other people’s–dreams! Our goal is to be closer to you in the future!
In conclusion, MonaVie works for anyone who has a dream that they are willing to fight for!
